I’m Back!

Oh My Gosh!!!

Finally I’m back on WordPress!

It’s been forever – well at least almost five months since my last visit on WordPress. And it was really exciting for me to be here again.

The reason why I got lost?

It is due to having “No Internet Connection” for several months. Would you believe that?

But to tell you, I really miss my site  soooooooo badly, and that’s a lot of O.

Oh well, I’ve been working for my next post and hopefully I could go back again here, as soon as possible.

Welcome to me… Again!!!

It’s S-U-M-M-E-R!!!!

It's S-U-M-M-E-R!!!!

In the Philippines, when the Holy Week started to enter the calendar, it means, it’s officially SUMMER!!! It is the time when the temperature gets scorchingly hot, you can even fry sunny side-up egg on the streets (now that’s what I call exaggeration!)

It is the time when students are enjoying their freedom from assignments, projects, reports, and their teachers, too.

It is the time when family gatherings are perfectly set while on the beach or resort or being out-of-town, etc.

Summertime is Family time!

Enjoy your Summer guys!!!

Bitter-Sweet Us!

Bitter-Sweet Us!

When I saw those cute Valentine stick figures on Google, I immediately make a new Timeline Cover for my Facebook through http://www.picmonkey.com/ and the aftermath is soooooo lovely!!! I am so proud of my self!! ahahaha… Well, the Season of Love is coming soon. Hope we can find love this season, although I know that L-O-V-E already lies deep within our hearts, through God.

Happy morning everyone!

Holiday Post-Upload!

Hi ‘ya everyone!

Though it sounds a bit late but I think it will do, besides it’s still January, Happy New Year to all of you!

I have been so damn busy since Christmas up until the New Year’s eve, so I wasn’t been able to visit my blog and to greet all of you. But now I am so back! Welcome back to me!

And to start my 2013 with a bang, let me share to you how we celebrated the past Holidays. Like I said earlier, it’s not too late to post this!

Hihihi 🙂

Our Holiday Spirit!!!

My husband and I has been celebrating Christmas together since 2007, that’s when we used to be girlfriend-boyfriend. And so far, this past season was our third celebration being a married couple. It was a lot of fun, especially when we re able to be with our families and other relatives. What could possibly be more fun than that?

Lindsay started receiving gifts when we went to her Daddy’s office several days before Christmas. She was so excited to open it. I told her that she can open it on Christmas Eve, so she stayed awake the whole night to open her gifts. She was so delighted thus made her said, “Salamat, Ninong!” (Thank you, Godfather!). Well at least she do knows how to appreciate things that has given to her.

My 24th Birthday

Lucky for me, I was born between the two most celebrated Holidays in the world. I was born on December 28th. This time, we went shopping for some gifts that we will be giving our godchildren and we went to Rai Rai Ken at SM Fairview, my favorite Japanese Restaurant, to have some itadakimasu vibes.

A New Year With A Bang!

It’s our second New Year celebration at my husband’s brother’s home in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, and it was a bit colder night, so some of us had to wear jackets. But to ease the cold was a feast of delicious food prepared by Kuya Vincent’s wife, Ate Che. And we truly had a full tummy all the way bedtime. So this is how we did it.

And so that was it. The most important thing about celebrating the past holidays was to dedicate all of what we had to God.  Through thanks and prayers, may we have a very prosperous 2013 ahead!

God is Our Refuge and Strength

It is already December and everyone is getting ready for the merriest season of the year. It is the time when we start to decorate our homes with colorful garlands, jingle bells, sparkling ornaments, and we decorate the Christmas Tree with our children. It is the time when we start to hear Christmas songs that we longed to hear.  It is the time when people are getting busy to shop for what to prepare for the festivity and also for the gifts that they will give for their loved ones. This is the season of giving and sharing. This is the season of love and hope.

But not all people share the same procedures during this coming Holidays.

Unfortunately, the Central and Southern part of the Philippines are being tested by fate lately. A super typhoon named “Pablo” (international codename, Bopha) just hit the said region and the aftermath is of course, a large percentage of casualties. Although the government  did not fail to warn the people and to prepare for the said typhoon, still there are those incidents that are far beyond expectations.

As I watch news every night, I feel the thrill by seeing the damage that Typhoon Pablo just left the Philippine region. Many bridges has been broken, flash floods are everywhere. Trees from the mountains has been washed down that led to landslides. Hundreds of acres of agriculture are now in deep flood and can never be used anymore. Thousands of homes are torn down, and to make matters worst, many lives are gone. Men, women, children even babies, elders, and soldiers are buried alive because of the landslides. Some of them are missing because of the flash floods.

Seeing those picture through the news is really dreadful and frightening. It seems that the nature is extremely angry that people has to pay with their own lives. I am a mother and a wife, and to witness those mothers who are crazily crying over their dead child or husband is also a pain for me. I don’t want that tragedy to happen to my family, and one way to help them is through prayers.

According to Psalm 46 of  The Holy Bible: New International Version:

” God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea. Though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging…The Lord Almighty is within us.”

FAITH OUT OF THE MUD A girl retrieves a statue of the Sto. Niño and cleans it of mud and grime after landslides hit her home due to nonstop rains brought by Typhoon “Pablo” in Compostela town, Compostela Valley province, in Mindanao on Tuesday. AFP

In this times of troubles, I believe, we just have to put our greatest faith in God. Even though our hearts might be torn and we may feel that there is no hope, I know somehow there will be a light in the midst of the darkness. We have face life’s biggest challenges arm in arm. This is only a test of God, and I know that He will never leave us alone.

The spirit of Christmas should not just happen only every December. We can always share our blessings every time of the year to those who need a helping hand. Gifts are not just come in a pretty gift wrap with a ribbon, but a gift of prayer is one of the most treasured and priceless things we could give.

Please do pray for the victims of  Typhoon Pablo.

A Gift of Friendship

pooh quotes

One of my most favorite things to do in life is to watch The New Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh (which I downloaded from YouTube) together with my daughter, and I love the moral it gives to the viewers. To others, it was just a cartoon like any other ordinary cartoons, but if you tend to go deeper into the script of the show, you’ll realize how friendship is important to one’s life.

I have lots of friends because I, myself is a friend. But only few became my best friends. And even though we are all very far away from other, and we haven’t found chances to communicate, I know deep in my heart that we will always be the best of the “Bestest” friends that would ever happen in the history of History!!!
